Set it up
1
Choose when it appears
- First play: as soon as they start watching.
- At a time: a number of seconds in. This is the one that converts.
- When the viewer pauses: the moment they disengage, which is usually the moment before they leave. Pair it with copy like “Don’t have time to watch now? Enter your info and we will send it to you.”
2
Decide if they can skip
Turn on allow skip to let them past it, optionally after a delay of up to 60
seconds.A hard gate captures more emails and loses more viewers. Which trade you want depends
on whether the list or the sale is the point.
3
Pick the fields
Name, email, phone, and a GDPR consent checkbox. Turn on only what you will use.
4
Send it somewhere
Set a webhook URL to receive the submission.
The form never reappears for someone who has already submitted it, on any trigger. It
shows at most once per view, so a viewer who skips it is not asked again every time they
pause.
Designing it
The form has a drag-and-drop canvas, the same one the pause and end screens use. Start from a template and edit, or build it from nothing.Where the lead goes
A submission fires thelead.captured event, which reaches everything you have connected:
- your webhook,
- Zapier,
- Meta CAPI and TikTok Events as a Lead event,
- ActiveCampaign or GoHighLevel, as a contact.
The lead is tied to the viewer’s session, so the retention curve, the traffic source and
any later sale are all joined to that person. That is the difference between a list and a
list you can attribute.
